Lauren Baerecke

Lauren has a strong background in research, having graduated with a Master’s degree in Psychological Research from the University of Cape Town after completing both her Bachelor of Social Sciences and Honours in Psychology. Having worked in the field of violence against women and children for one of the University of Cape Town’s strategic research initiatives, at the Human Sciences Research Council. Lauren currently holds a dual role at NACOSA, leading NACOSA’s Global Fund GBV programme for Thuthuzela Care Centres and managing the monitoring and evaluation for an USAID-funded project working in South Africa’s sexual offences courts.
